Recent Versions
COMcheck 3.8.2 (July 2011)
COMcheck 3.8.2 adds new XML and gbXML interoperability features. With the XML feature, users can save COMcheck data files to a new XML data file format or continue to use the CCK file format. This feature opens the door for web service providers to submit XML formatted data to the energycodes.gov energy compliance determination web service. The gbXML feature allows users of tools capable of saving gbXML file formats to import those files into COMcheck. COMcheck will parse, aggregate and expose the envelope assemblies found in the gbXML file. Input and feedback on either of this interoperability opportunities are welcome. This COMcheck release also exposes the 'data upload' feature. When running the software version upgrade tool, saved project data will be uploaded to the energycodes.gov server. All transmitted projects will be anonymous. Users wishing to disable this feature can do so in the Preferences screen.
COMcheck 3.8.1 (November 2010)

Numerous minor mechanical enhancements and corrections are included. Lighting and mechanical report formatting was enhanced and several page footer issues were resolved.
COMcheck 3.8.0 (July 2010)
COMcheck version 3.8.0 introduces the Oregon state energy code. Multiple whole building types can now be specified under energy codes that allow such consideration. Track and low voltage lighting have been added to the interior lighting tab, and interior lighting reports have been consolidated into a single report. ASHRAE 90.1 envelope trade-off compliance index calculations now consider lighting power adjustments. An optional input for visible light transmittance has been added to the envelope tab. The ability to add customized descriptions of building and exterior use areas has been added. ASHRAE 90.1-1989 and 90.1-1999, and 1998 IECC are no longer supported in COMcheck. Numerous corrections to mechanical system requirements have been made.
COMcheck 3.7.1 (February 2010)
COMcheck version 3.7.1 now includes support for single user, multiple user, and network installations. The COMcheck implementation of the New York energy code is now based on 2009 IECC with New York specific considerations. The ASHRAE 90.1 concrete block wall integrated insulation exception has been added to the software. Numerous minor changes were made to the software including new/revised options for mechanical systems, user interface handling of alterations projects, report processing, and redesigning the methods for enforcing window-wall ratio requirements.
