The U.S. Department of Energy held an informal public meeting requesting comments on new requirements regarding fossil fuel-based energy consumption reduction of Federal buildings on November 12, 2010. The notice of proposed rulemaking (NOPR) is one element in a broad effort to improve the energy efficiency of the Federal building stock. The NOPR was published in the Federal Register on October 15, 2010 and is available online at http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/2010/pdf/2010-25852.pdf.

Note: The docket number for the Environmental Asssessment was incorrectly listed in the original Federal Register notice. A correction to the original notice was published on October 27, 2010 and may be found at http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/2010/pdf/2010-27152.pdf.
