Current Status Comments:

Arizona is a home rule state, thus codes are continually adopted and enforced on a local level. Today 30 local municipal governments in Arizona have adopted energy codes or codes which incorporate energy provisions. With that in mind, always contact the local county/jurisdiction for confirmation of adopted codes before the start of any project within the community.

State Buildings: HB2324 Stipulates that the standards adopted and published by newly constructed state buildings be consistent with the International Energy Conservation Code.
