2008 Oregon Residential Specialty Code requirements are based on the 2006 IRC and can be viewed at the following link: 2008 Residential Energy Code Requirements . State developed CodeComp software may be used to show compliance.
Notes on the State's Commercial Code:
2007 Oregon Structural Specialty Code are based on the 2006 IBC State-developed code that meets or exceeds ASHRAE/IESNA 90.1-2004. State developed CodeComp software may be used to show compliance.

Current Status Comments:

The Oregon One- and Two-Family Dwelling Specialty Code contains energy conservation requirements for one and 2 family dwelling construction. The Oregon Structural Specialty Code, Chapter 13, contains energy conservation requirements for buildings, other than 1 and 2 family dwellings.

The state energy code provisions are mandatory for all heated and/or cooled residential and commercial construction, including state-owned and -operated buildings that are constructed, altered, and repaired within the state. The energy conservation requirements are a mandatory statewide minimum that cannot be modified by local government without state approval.
