HVAC General Requirements

 

HVAC systemThe 2003 IECC has several requirements that must be met regardless of which compliance method is used. The REScheck compliance approaches assume that all applicable general requirements have been met. The REScheck software includes these requirements in the Inspection Checklist.

An HVAC system consists of:

  • a heating and/or cooling source,
  • a distribution system (e.g., ductwork or hot/chilled water piping), and
  • temperature controls.
