Alterations

• Any alteration to a building envelope, mechanical, service water-heating, electrical distribution or illumination system or portion thereof to meet the code requirements. Unaltered portions of the existing system are not required to meet the code.
• Changes cannot cause any of the existing systems to become unsafe, hazardous or overloaded.
