2003 National Workshop on State Building Energy Codes
June 23-26, 2002
Atlanta, Georgia

The 2003 National Workshop on State Building Energy Codes was held June 23 - 26, 2003 at the Atlanta Sheraton Hotel in Atlanta, GA. The Workshop included pre- and post-Workshop activities, plus 2 1/2 days of sessions (both plenary and technical).

The Workshop participants included attendees representing energy-related organizations in 42 states and territories. Attendees included staff from state energy offices, utilities, energy code consultants, energy efficiency advocacy groups, industry/trade associations, builders, and model code organizations.

The Workshop provided an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of energy codes and standards-related topics, and face-to-face networking through formal and informal meetings allowing states and other stakeholders to share code-related challenges and code-related successes. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) through the Building Energy Codes Program (BECP) sponsored the event, which was hosted by the DOE Atlanta Regional Office.
