Energy Codes 2009 provided hands-on training and face-to-face networking through various training activities with other members in the energy codes community. It represented a unique opportunity to bring together state energy office representatives and members of the building industry and to receive consistent technical training on building energy codes and standards. Energy Codes 2009 featured discussions on: reaching the U.S. Department of Energy's goal to make energy codes 30% more stringent, the Recovery Act, measuring 90% compliance per the Recovery Act, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants, building energy code compliance for states, as well as residential and commercial code requirements in detail. Additional sessions focused on duct-testing, REScheck™ and COMcheck™ demonstrations, energy efficient construction, and code implementation, and more.
