New Guide Seeks to Simplify Stimulus Business Opportunities

A law firm has published a new guide to the business opportunities provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The concept behind the guide, called "Show Me The Money," is to clarify the various programs and potential sources of federal funding for all of the energy industry sectors, including smart grid, green building, energy efficiency, and many others. It describes how $26 billion in energy efficiency grants, $17 billion in smart grid funding, $21 billion in transportation, and $16.5 billion in tax incentives will help implement clean energy projects over the next 18 months.

The grants, which will be administered by the Department of Energy, include $11.3 billion allocated to states for Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants, weatherization, and the State Energy Program.
