What's New in REScheck™
REScheck Windows Version
Current Version
REScheck 4.4.3 (February 2012)
REScheck 4.4.3 (build version 4.4.3.1) adds support for demonstrating code compliance with 2012 IECC, the 2010 Florida Building Energy Code, and a limited version of the 2011 Vermont Residential Building Energy Standard.
Recent Versions
REScheck 4.4.2 (build version: 4.4.2.3, January 2012)
REScheck 4.4.2 adds support for demonstrating code compliance with 2011 Georgia State Minimum Standard Energy Code, North Carolina Energy Conservation Code, and Puerto Rico Residential Energy Code.
REScheck 4.4.1 (June 2011)
REScheck 4.4.1 includes updates to the New York energy code such that it is now based on the 2010 New York Energy Conservation Construction Code (i.e., 2009 IECC with state amendments). Version 4.4.1 also includes an update to the Wisconsin state code such that high performance equipment efficiency is now considered at the 90% efficiency level. Numerous minor user interface improvements are also included in this release.
REScheck 4.4.1.6 adds a new XML interoperability feature. With the XML feature, users can save REScheck data files to a new XML data file format or continue to use the RCK file format. This feature opens the door for web service providers to submit XML formatted data to the energycodes.gov energy compliance determination web service. This release also introduces the 'data upload' feature. When running the software version upgrade tool, saved project data will be transmitted to the energycodes.gov server. All transmitted projects will be anonymous. Users wishing to disable this feature can do so in the Preferences screen.
REScheck 4.4.0 (September 2010)
REScheck version 4.4.0 discontinues support of the following energy codes: 1992-1995 MEC, 1998 IECC, New Hampshire. File locking has been introduced to prevent simultaneous editing of data files. Continuous insulation in above grade wood framed walls is now assumed to cover 100% of the wall area when specified. Numerous minor corrections and enhancements to the BECP online content links and reporting process have been implemented.
REScheck 4.3.1 (March 2010)
REScheck version 4.3.1 now includes support for single user, multiple user, and network installations. The log wall inputs and requirements for IECC codes have been modified such that continuous insulation can now be specified and the U-factor requirements are dependent on the mass wall requirement criteria for IECC codes (2004 and newer or state codes based on IECC).
REScheck 4.3.0 (August 2009)
REScheck version 4.3.0 makes available the 2007 IECC (supplement to 2006 IECC) and 2009 IECC energy codes. Several 'performance alternative' assumptions were upgraded and 'alteration' project problems were resolved. The Minnesota state code was removed from REScheck as that state has adopted energy code requirements that do no permit showing compliance through REScheck.
