The New Hampshire state code option has been changed to be based on the 2006 IECC. The Sustainable Energy Standard code has been modified to remove various report checklist items that were deemed irrelevant with adoption of the 2006 IECC code base. The high-efficiency equipment tradeoff portion of the 2006 IECC code has been restricted to single-family builings. Various application run-time and installation changes were made including upgrading the Java run-time engine, specification and arrangement of the REScheck startup shortcuts, where AreaCalc is accessed in the menu structure and where it looks for REScheck associations.

REScheck 4.1.2 (October 2007)

REScheck version 4.1.2 provides updated weather location references for high efficiency equipment performance calculations. Minor bug fixes were made for projects that include uninsulated below-grade walls and crawl walls in IECC 2006 and to an inspection checklist item specific to mass wall exterior insulation for Pima County, AZ code locations. The New York state code has been updated to 2007 New York Energy Conservation Construction Code.

REScheck 4.1.1 (August 2007)

REScheck version 4.1.1 provides an upgraded DOE2 simulation engine that is used in limited scope building performance evaluations. Several minor user interface and report enhancements were made.

REScheck 4.1.0 (June 2007)

REScheck version 4.1.0 provides support for IRC 2006. The SES Pima County, Arizona code has been updated to be based on the IECC 2006. This update includes an enhancement to display both the UA and equipment performance compliance indices in IECC 2006. A few other minor file handling and reporting bugs were identified and fixed.

REScheck 4.0.1 (January 2007)

REScheck version 4.0.1 fixes a software bug in IECC 2006 related to multiple heating or cooling equipment. REScheck can model only single zone equipment for calculating high efficiency trade-off. This update also includes revisions to the compliance report to include the conditioned floor area and minor bug fixes for IECC 2006 performance-based compliance calculations.

REScheck 4.0.0 (December 2006)

REScheck version 4.0.0 provides support for IECC 2006. This includes the performance approach for determining compliance when high efficiency mechanical equipment is used. The Pima County, Arizona codes (other than SES) have been updated to be based on the IECC 2006. This release also includes a new 'Preferences' feature that allows users to preselect certain settings in the software, and the RTF report option has been added back into the software. Several minor file handling and reporting bugs were identified and fixed and a usability enhancement was included to identify the currently-selected code upon startup. REScheck 3.7 Release 1b (December 2005)

Version 3.7 Release 1b includes an update to reflect the new appliance standards efficiency requirements for air-conditioners and heat pumps that will be effective on January 23, 2006. The Department of Energy has issued appliance manufacturing standards for central air-conditioners and heat pumps that will take effect on January 23, 2006. These standards preempt state and local building codes that differ from these standards. The release also resolves the issues related to the display of mechanical information in the inspection checklist.

REScheck 3.7 Release 1a (November 2005)

Version 3.7 Release 1a resolves the issues related to project information when opening older data files. It also corrects an error in the input range and HVAC equipment efficiency requirements which were scheduled to become effective in January 2006.

REScheck 3.7 Release 1 (October 2005)

Version 3.7 Release 1 includes the newly redesigned Project Details section to facilitate online permitting. Compliance reports are now generated and saved in PDF format, and a PDF Reader is required to View/Print the reports. Several enhancements have been made for log walls. A new "Beyond the Code" feature has been added which provides links to pertinent and current information on different energy topics and building practices beyond the scope of simply complying with energy code requirements.

REScheck 3.6 Release 2 (January 2005)

Version 3.6 Release 2 provides users with the ability to email compliance reports directly to their code official or energy compliance office. The user interface and runtime engine have been updated to resolve minor user-interface and updating issues.
