Mac Download FAQs
If you are experiencing difficulties with your REScheck Mac download, these frequently asked questions may help you isolate the problem.
- What does a "-39" error message mean?
- Why do I get an error message "server not connected" or "communication exception" or "server busy"?
Q: What does a "-39" error message mean?
A -39 error indicates that the file is not complete. This usually means you had a bad or dropped connection to the server during the download process. Try downloading the file again.
If you are using America Online, try using a stand-alone Web browser instead of the built-in America Online Browser (see Applecare KnowledgeBase article 59009: "Apple Software Downloads and America Online").
Q: Why do I get an error message "server not connected" or "communication exception" or "server busy"?
This is usually a network problem between the client and the server. There is no straightforward way to determine where the problem lies; your best option is to try to connect to the server again.
