Ducts Can Move Dollars Right Out of Your House
- Ducts that are within the conditioned areas of the home are great energy savers.
- Most ducts are located in the attic, basement, or crawl space of the house. These ducts should be well sealed and insulated. Check to make sure no insulation is missing or falling off.
- Check ducts for leaks by holding your hand near the duct joints while the system is running.
- Hydronic water heating ducts, when outside the conditioned space, should be insulated.
