Welcome to the 2020 National Energy Codes Conference! This year's event will be in Chicago, Illinois. Join us in the Windy City for another engaging set of topics, educational sessions, and networking opportunities.

Draft agenda now available


A block of sleeping rooms have been made available at the Palmer House Hilton at the group rate of $218 per night, plus all applicable taxes (the same as government per diem). Reservation dates, deadlines and details have been postponed until further notice.

Poster Session

This year's event will feature a poster session during the welcome reception on Monday evening. Poster space is limited but available for participants who would like to showcase energy code research or case studies during the reception. Poster session proposals may be submitted during the conference postponement period. To submit a request, forward the poster title and a brief description of the research.


A limited number of scholarships are available to help offset the costs of attending the 2020 National Energy Codes Conference. Scholarships are prioritized for government officials, and to encourage new attendees and geographic diversity. Students, emerging professionals and others who are new to the field are also encouraged to apply. Scholarship requests may be submitted during the conference postponement period. To be considered for a scholarship, please submit your request.
